Mozambique President Daniel Chapo is undertaking a four day working visit to Manica province to oversee governance and development initiatives.
According to a statement from the Presidency, the head of state is scheduled to visit Chimoio city and the districts of Báruè, Tambara, Macossa, Mossurize and Sussundenga. The visit forms part of his direct monitoring of local development programmes and governance efforts.
During his stay, Chapo is expected to inaugurate a vocational training centre in Chimoio and new district court buildings, reinforcing the institutionalisation of justice at the local level.
The visit will also include community rallies, meetings with youth, community leaders, economic stakeholders, local authorities and public officials.
Chapo will preside over sessions of the Manica Provincial Executive Council and the Council of Ministers. Additionally, he will officially launch the 2024/2025 Agricultural Marketing Campaign during his tour of the province.
