Mozambique’s president, Filipe Nyusi, on Thursday called on his compatriots to act together against hunger by increasing agricultural productivity, saying that the results in the past few years had been encouraging.
“Let’s concentrate all our energy in increasing production and productivity, in order to fight hunger,” he said during the launch of the 2018/2019 agricultural year in Balama, in the province of Cabo Delgado, in northern Mozambique.
He added that the country should aim to continue the upward trend in its food production.
